Happy summer everyone and we hope that all of you are having a great time enjoying the sunny days. Let’s start this blog post with a warm welcome to our new community members in Sarajevo and Belgrade.

Newcomers

Our community has welcomed four new members in the last two weeks. Stevan, Dusan and Nenad joined our Belgrade team, while Muamer joined our Sarajevo community. Stevan just had his best vacation in Greece. He had a real adventure because an earthquake had destroyed some roads and so he and his friends had to drive through some crazy roads to access the seashore. Dusan, on the other hand, spent his best vacation backpacking in India, which sounds like a really exciting and adventurous vacation. Nenad likes his job because it’s never boring and there is always something new to learn. Muamer just recently joined Symphony and what he likes most about his job is the fact there is always room for improvement.

Symphony on the Road

One of the perks of being a part of the Symphony community is the possibility to work from our other offices whenever you want. Marija from our Belgrade hub just visited Sarajevo and spent a week working at our Bosnia and Herzegovina hub. Meanwhile, our d.light team is currently in Africa visiting and working with d.light partners in Kenya. They will participate in a yearly summit where they can talk about our work in detail. We have received a major update from them: African food is really and I mean really good!

Client updates

Our client Highfive is excited to announce a couple of new features on their new platform! Users can now get dial-in numbers for meetings even more quickly and schedule meetings straight from Highfive. With these two updates, creating and joining Highfive calls is now easier than ever.

We are proud to have worked on ODG smart glasses for many years. Their new glasses, the R-7HL, are a wearable pair of smart glasses built to survive the toughest treatment. In recent trials, the glasses were subjected to intensive torture tests in order to prove that they can cope with the most extreme environments. Check it out here.

Symphony in the Media

One of the biggest web portals in Bosnia and Herzegovina recently wrote an article about Almina, a software engineer who works at our Sarajevo hub. Almina spoke about her work on ODG smart glasses as well as her personal battle with diabetes, which she was diagnosed with at age sixteen. You can read the full article here.

Symphony PR manager Ana was a guest speaker on a TV show broadcasted by one of the most popular TV stations in Serbia. She spoke about our first Belgrade anniversary and our plans to start a new home in Novi Sad. You can watch her interview here.
