Hey everyone! We hope that all of you are doing amazing and feeling great. When it comes to us, things here are even more amazing than usual (if that’s possible). We are working on new projects, continuing to build our community in Novi Sad and growing together every single day.
Newcomers
Marko, this time we are celebrating you! Marko recently joined our Belgrade community. He has a passion for old and rare books. He has some in his collection, but never misses an opportunity to visit a collection or an antique bookshop when traveling.
Symphony on the Road
The boys are back! Eight guys from our Belgrade office went to Donji Stoj for a summer vacation. They enjoyed their time off together, but also found some time to spread the Symphony culture in Montenegro.
Client Updates
One of our clients, Endless, announced that it has joined forces with World Possible, which is a non-profit organization that shares the Endless mission to help improve access and equity in digital global education. Endless and World Possible will collaborate on a project rolling out the Endless operating system in correctional facilities across Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, Florida and Utah. It is also important to mention that following its first Southeast Asian release in Thailand, in June, the Linux-based operating system Endless OS is now available in Indonesia.
We are also happy to see Eloptico moving forward with their project. Eloptico has partnered with Collaboration for Health IT in order to explore the use of Google Glass in dental EHRs. More specifically, Eloptico has developed a Google Glass interface for ICE Health Systems that allows the provider to ‘speak’ into the Google Glass and have the information automatically recorded into the ICE EHR. This is the most extensive integration of Google Glass into the dental field in North America and we look forward to expanding the work and supporting better patient care and health professionals.
Community Stories
We have five big celebrations coming up in the month of July. Marko, Zarko, Mirza, Armin and Mirha are celebrating their Symphony anniversaries. Marko, Mirza, Armin and Mirha are celebrating one year of being part of the Symphony community, while Zarko is making a toast to his seven years at Symphony.
Igor, from our Belgrade office, spent some of his free time mentoring amazing young girls at the RailsGirls workshop. Thank you Igor for setting the right example to all of us and for sharing your knowledge with local peers. We are very happy to have you in our team!
Here we go! We have started work on our initial preparations for this year’s Sarajevo half marathon. We are running together and exchanging tips and advice on how to get ourselves into the best possible shape. Close to 30 Symphony community members took part in the Sarajevo half marathon last year and this year we aim to break our own record with more of us participating! Stay tuned!
