Say hello to Tihomir! In July Tihomir is celebrating his first Symphony anniversary so we decided to sit down and talk a bit more with him about his life and professional experiences. During these 365 days, we have realized how talented and ambitious Tihomir is. We've also seen him laughing, being extremely happy, sometimes not so happy (but that's okay), but one thing is for sure, our community in Novi Sad wouldn't be the same without him. So, here is to many, many more we're going to celebrate together.

What are your biggest professional challenges?

My main professional challenge is being satisfied with where I am. So it’s a constant circle of a desire for more, achieving that and than again wanting something else.

What are you working on right now?

I’m working on a video conferencing platform, Highfive. I’m mainly working on is their Android client app. It’s a super fun project and I’m learning a lot about WebRTC and real-time media in general. Also, it’s a project with a very wide tech stack, so I also have a chance to gain more experience in the future with the front end, server and work on cool apps for their hardware as well.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Having an office gym, traveling to cool places and lunches made by our amazing chefs. There are also plenty of excellent software engineers who are creating an amazing environment to learn and grow.

Greatest game in history?

As a big board game fan, I’ll go with Carcassonne. Something I always enjoy is a good game night with my friends.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

Not sure if this qualifies as a hidden talent, but what most people don’t know about me is that I’ve played piano for about 10 years.

What drew you to Symphony originally? And how has Symphony changed since?

I applied to Symphony without ever hearing about it before. I accidentally applied to the best company around for my first full-time job. Since then Symphony doubled in people but stayed equally awesome.

You’re happiest when?

I’m the happiest when I’ve finished working on a big part of the project and start getting good feedback about it.
